Ready to make the work you love
& take control of your income?
Are you ready to see your art on products like greeting cards, gift bags, fabric, & more?
Youβre driven, youβre putting in the time, and youβre making some serious progress honing your art skills and finding your voice as an artist. Youβre doing all the right things.
But youβre not bringing in the money you deserve to be making from your craft.
Maybe the freelance gigs arenβt coming in as quickly as youβd like, or youβre having to work a day job that youβre not really enjoying to help pay your bills. You want to love the work youβre doing, but you also want more financial consistency, and youβre not quite sure if you can have both.
Yup β We Freakin' Get That.
We know from experience that stressing about money SUCKS, which is why we're extra excited to help you climb on out of that stress-hole and find more stability in your career.

Imagine with us for a secβ¦
How nice would it feel to finally break the feast-and-famine cycle of freelance? What if you could open your mailbox and find a couple of royalty checks in there just waiting to be cashedβmoney youβd earned from a project youβd already forgotten about? What if you could sell the same piece of art youβd already sold a second, third, and even forth time?
Thatβs where art licensing comes inβ¦
The Power of Licensing
Licensing essentially means to "loan" your artwork to companies for use on products like greeting cards, gift bags, fabric, and more. This little-known industry has completely transformed our art businesses by allowing us to make the art we want to make, set our own schedules, see our art on products in stores nationwide, and create a more stable flow of income that continues to build over time.
Okay, great! Licensing sounds awesomeβ¦but how do I get started?
Licensing can be a game changer for your art business, but thereβs so little information out there about how to break into the industry! Youβre probably asking yourself questions likeβ¦
β’ What kind of products can I license my art for?
β’ How do I find and reach out to buyers who will want my art?
β’ What kind of artwork should I be making?
β’ How much do I charge for this kind of thing?
β’ Where do I even start?
Youβre not aloneβ¦
We know there can be a LOT of confusion when it comes to understanding the world of art licensing, and if you donβt have some guidance or a plan to follow, it can feel completely overwhelming.
Thatβs why we created our course
The Art Licensing Blueprint!
In The Art Licensing Blueprint, we'll teach you how to get your art onto products like greeting cards, gift bags, apparel, home goods, and more!
We'll walk you through everything from pricing to building a portfolio to selling your art to buyers.
βI've dabbled in art licensing but had no idea how to make it a bigger piece of my business, so I decided to take the Art Licensing Blueprint. IT IS WORTH EVERY PENNY! Ilana and Katie cover everything you need to know to build your portfolio and get your foot in the art licensing world. I'm so thankful they created a course that shares the secrets of this industry.β

βHOLY SH*T! This course brought to light so many things I didn't even think to ask questions about! I've been lettering and freelancing for a few years now and I have always been fearful of licensing work (mainly because I have no idea what I'm doing and don't want clients to catch on). This course is so easy to follow along with, unpacking the nitty & gritty and giving advice that I have failed numerous times to find while googling. These girls were so generous with dishing out everything they have learned and I am forever grateful. Truly inspired to up my game!β

Are you sitting on untapped income?
Weβre willing to bet youβve got some sketches, unused concepts, or pieces that you never did anything with tucked away somewhere. With art licensing, you can give those old, dusty artworks new life!
Letβs dig through that lost potential and turn it into income!
Who is The Art Licensing Blueprint for?
Illustrators
Letterers
Pattern Designers
The Art Licensing Blueprint is for you if you make original art that could be placed on products (so that means most of you out there are good to go!) We focus on teaching about the art licensing industry and how to utilize and hone your existing skills as an artist to break into different markets.
So if youβre brand new to art, we suggest taking a few classes and learning the basics before you jump into licensing!
Instant Access!
All the course content is pre-recorded and ready to watch as soon as you enroll! Youβll have access for 6 months from your enrollment date. The course is totally digital, so you can access it from anywhere in the world on your own schedule.
How Long Does it Take?
We recommend setting aside at least 1-2 hours each week for the first three weeks to watch the modules.
After that, youβll be working on building your portfolio and reaching out to clients, and itβll be totally up to you and your schedule how much time you choose to devote. To help keep you focused, weβve included 100 portfolio design prompts to get your wheels turning.
Youβll have 6 months access to the content!
Donβt Get in Your Own Way!
You deserve more consistent income while making the work you love.
βIβm too busyβ
One of our favorite things about art licensing is that, while it takes some work up front, future benefits can become passive! We often thank our past selves when royalty checks arrive for projects that have long been off our books. We believe in making time for the things that have the most potential for future pay-off!
βI donβt feel confident in my artβ
We all feel this way as artists, at least at some point. The only way you get over it is to make more work, practice, and put yourself out there. Our portfolio builder is an extra awesome tool for those who need to gain some confidence, as itβll inspire you to create and explore your own style as you develop your portfolio.
βIβm scared to investβ
We know how scary it can be to invest in something new when you donβt really know how itβs going to pan out. We would NEVER tell you to buy what you canβt afford! But if itβs coming down to fear thatβs holding you back, rememberβthereβs a cost to inaction too. How much might you lose out on if you donβt add this income stream to your biz?

Remember why you started making art in the first place?
We love art licensing because it aligns with all the reasons why we got into artβ¦
β’ You get to be your own creative director and YOU decide what you make
β’ You get to make art that people will interact with & enjoy up close
β’ Your creativity is the limitβ¦you can pitch product ideas to buyers that can actually become reality!
Licensing opens up the freedom we missed when we were only doing freelance or working for an agency realizing someone elseβs vision.

FAQs
-
While we based this course on the licensing market within the US, we do have international students who have found the information to be very applicable to their markets as well. However, we can't guarantee the accuracy of certain pricing standards and business practices in countries outside the US. We do see plenty of foreign artists licensing their work with US clients, and this course would work perfectly for that.
-
Yes! Working in non-digital mediums can work very well for licensing. Just be aware that less editability of the art means a little less flexibility that you're able to offer for a potential buyer. We'll help you understand best practices and file delivery in class!
-
The content is all pre-recorded so that you can access it at your own convenience.
-
We used to offer lifetime access, but have found that limited access is actually more beneficial for encouraging our students to take action! You'll have 6 months to digest the content, access the community and get feedback on your work inside the program.
-
We wholeheartedly believe in The Art Licensing Blueprint course, and have many satisfied students. But we want you to feel confident in your decision to join. If you have any questions before joining, please reach out to make sure the program is right for you. Due to the nature of digital products, we do not offer refunds on courses.
