Meet your hosts

Katie Johnson and Ilana Griffo are the tag team behind Goodtype. After running their own successful art businesses, the two artists met via DM and joined forces virtually from their homes in New York and Texas. They share a drive to help other artists pursue their passions and take the fear out of business, because they believe everyone deserves to love their job.

Natalie is the creative force behind Threeologie, your ultimate destination for the art of handlettering plus a little design! Is this a live training?

Yes! You’ll definitely want to do your best to come live! However, we know you have a life. If you can’t make it, there will be a 72 hour replay period so you can watch on your own time.

We went from knowing NOTHING about licensing to having our art in stores all over the U.S.

Licensing basically means “renting” your art to other companies so they can use it on their products. It’s our favorite income stream and it’s full of opportunity. We want to help you see your work on shelves too, so submit a greeting card, a pattern or home decor for us to review. We’ll share our experience as art directors and licensing artists to help make sure your work is ready for buyers!
