GOODTYPE INTERNSHIPS

If you’ve got a passion for typography, and a knack for social media, we want you. This is a paid and remote position.

Goodtype is an inclusive community for people who love the art of typography, providing a collection of educational resources, unique perspectives, and inspiration to support their personal and professional growth.

As a Goodtype intern, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Curating & discovering talent in the hand-lettering and type world (within and beyond Instagram)

  • Scheduling and creating captions to posts from found artists

  • Selecting and scheduling features - that means DMing and emailing with your design idols

  • Creating content for Instagram & TikTok including short-form type tips

  • Conceptualizing with the Goodtype Team

This is a remote position, but brownie points if you’re located in Austin, TX, or Rochester, NY. In that case, we’ll schedule a few times to meet up with you and help you get acclimated to our business. If not, have you heard of zoom ;)?

At Goodtype, we take education and supporting artists very seriously. We hope this internship can serve as both a learning experience and a mentorship program. As a member of a small team, you’ll likely wear several hats, so you should be prepared to problem-solve and learn on the job. You’ll see what goes into running a design business, far beyond kerning and tracking (don’t worry, we geek out on that too!).

This is a paid position and will range from 5-10 hours a week. The hours are up to you, as long as deadlines are met. Does that make us the coolest bosses ever? We vote yes.
